ART NIGHT //

My girlfriend said she wanted to spend some time making collages so we bought a few cheap materials at Goodwill and sat down that evening and started cutting and pasting and just having fun without expectations. We’ve both made art before but hadn’t collaged for a long time so it was nice to step outside of the usual activities and gain new perspective.

This piece is the result of my creative meanderings that night. Not “officially” finished yet but that doesn’t matter, happy to share regardless. Creating art, creating things, writing, cooking, singing, dancing, walking, moving, running, making love, making music, making speeches, moving people, connecting with others, with nature, with yourself—these are all forms of creative/artistic expression. Living is a creative act, our one vital experience we curate day in and day out whether we see it as such or not.
